Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence of malnutrition, incidence of nutritional risk screening, estimate if need nutritional or not in operation patients with gynecological cancer in the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University. And how many patients could be evaluated completely by nutritional risk screening 2002, provide the basis for nutritional therapy. Methods: 234 gynecological cancer patients from the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University between June 2013 and February 2015 were enrolled in our survey. Nutritional risk was determined by NRS2002 on admission. The indexes before and after operation such as serum total protein, serum albumin, hemoglobin, lymphocyte count, weight and body mass index were tested. The information of nutrition support, complications occurrence and treatment, length of stay and total costs was monitored and recorded of these patients in the whole course of hospitalization. Results:(1)Finally,234 cases were involved in the analysis. For gynecological cancer patients, the suitable rate of NRS 2002 was 100 %. The gynecological cancer was divided into four categories, the cases with cervical cancer, uterine body cancer, adnexal carcinoma and vulval cancer was 104, 72, 50, and 8 respectively.(2)The prevalence of nutrition risk of gynecological cancer is 21.79%,the prevalence of nutrition risk of adnexal carcinoma patients(48.00%)is significantly higher than that of other gynecological cancer patientsConclusion: There are malnutrition and nutritional risk in gynecological cancer patients. The incidence of malnutrition and nutritional risk is still higher, especially among the adnexal carcinoma. Measures should be taken to strengthen the nutrition support for adnexal carcinoma.
