| Objective 1.To explore the changes of the resting state brain function in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus by the method of regional homogeneity and posterior cingulate cortex based functional connectivity of resting-state BOLD-f MRI. 2.To analysis the correlation between functional connectivity and clinical parameters in patients with T2 DM and further illustrate the effects of clinical parameters effects on function connection in T2 DM.Materials and MethodsThirty cases of T2 DM and thirty-nine matched healthy subjects, while the Restingstate BOLD-f MRI data were recorded by a Siemens3.0 T Trio MR scanner. The Resting-state BOLD-f MRI data preprocessing was performed by DPARSF(data processing assistant for resting state f MRI) and REST software which based on the platform of Matlab7.0. Then Re Ho values and FC strength based on PCC were calculated and performed the statistical analysis by SPSS 19.0 packages.Results1. Compared with controls(p < 0.05), T2 DM patients showed significantly decreased Re Ho value in bilateral precuneus, right lingual gyrus and calcarine gyrus, occipital gyrus, and significantly increased Re Ho value mainly in the right superior and middle frontal gyrus, right orbital gyrus. 2. Compared with healthy subjects(p < 0.05), T2 DM patients showed significantly decreased FC between PCC and some regions, including the left postcentral gyrus and left rolandic operculum. 3. In the T2 DM group, the relevant analysis showed a significant positive correlation between the PCC-PCu connectivity and GLU,Hb A1 c.however PCC-left middle frontal gyrus connectivity showed negative correlation. The duration was inversely correlated with FC strength in the left anterior cingulate, orbital gyrus, lingual gyrus and calcarine gyrus. The scores of MOCA was significant positive correlation with FC strength in bilateral cuneus and calcarine gyrus, left para-hippocampus gyrus.Conclusion1.Multiple encephalic regions showed significant decreased in the spontaneous neuronal activity synchronicity in T2 DM patients, meanwhile, neuronal compensatory mechanism existed in some brain regions. 2.T2 DM patients had significant decreased FC strength in some regions. FC can be used for the research and early diagnosis for the diabetic peripheral neuropathy( DPN) 3.In T2 DM patients, clinical parameters had certain correlation with functional connectivity in some brain regions. In the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis assessment should be closely monitored the clinical parameters. |
