Operation Assoiate With 32P Intra-Articular Injection In The Treatment Of Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis Of Knee Joint

Objective To investigate the knee arthroscopy and colloidal chromium phosphate intra-articular injection of the clinical curative effect for pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) of the knee.Methods A retrospective analysis of 11 cases from January 2010 to June 2014 in our hospital who was treated by knee arthroscopy and diagnosed pigmented villonodular synovitis by pathological diagnosis. Among 11 cases, there were 6 male and 5 female,4 cases were at left knee, 7 cases were at right knee, Average age 38.4 years old. We mainly excision the focus and repair the meniscus and cartilage.4-6 weeks later we Intra-articular injection colloidal chromium phosphate 185MBq(5mCi).And the patients were followed-up at the postoperative time on 1 month,3 month,6 month and 1 year,then came to the outpatient department every year.To assess the relapse rate of patients, Lysholm knee score.Using two paired sample test compared 11 cases of PVNSpatients before and after operation by the Lysholm knee score.Results All patients were followed-up,all the incisions obtained primar y healing, until the end of the follow-up, no recurrence, statistical analysi s showed that postoperative Lysholm knee score was (83±5.48) points, sign ificantly higher than the preoprative of (47±5.22) points (t=37.835, P<0.05) , the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). All these cases’ menis cus and cartilage had damage in different degrees,1 case we found the cruci ate ligament and cartilage involved in the synovium,3 patients showed syn ovium erosion cruciate ligament,8 cases of patients with different degree o f cartilage wear, all the patients were accompanied with different degrees of meniscal injury or degeneration.Conclusion Operation assoiate with 32P Intra-articular injection the treatment of pigmented villonodular synovitis of knee joint had had minimally invasive, reliable curative effect, good recovery of knee joi nt function, fewer complications, and we could solve the problems with me niscus, cartilage in the knee joint, this is a reliable method, can reduce the r ecurrence of the knee PVNS.
