ObjectiveThe prevalence and main risk factors of dyslipidemia among adult inhabitants in Pingyang County were investigated, in order to provide a theoretical reference in early prevention, early screening, early diagnosis as well as Comprehensive prevention and control of dyslipidemia.MethodsAdult inhabitants in Pingyang County were chosen as the subjects. Stratified sampling by the geographical position and economic development level and other factors, service range of 21 health clinics in towns were chosen as the investigate area, According to the number of resident population in the area, the number of objects in each area was determined by 170:1. Two villages were randomly selected in each area, cluster sampling by families, the sample population was investigated with a questionnaire and a health examination.4980 people was participated in the study, the data was recorded by Epidata 3.02, and statistical analyzed by SPSS 16.0 using non-conditioned binary logistic regression analysis and other methods.Results4980 individuals were participated in the study,1989 individuals were found with dyslipidemia, the overall prevalence of dyslipidemia was 39.94%. According to the data of the sixth census data in 2010, the standardized prevalence was 37.31%. The standardized prevalence of high-TC, high-TG, high-LDL-C and low-HDL-C was 8.09%, 20.90%,3.60% and 15.93%.Non-conditioned binary logistic regression analysis showed that, gender, age, education level, marital status, income level, family medical history, smoking, drinking, physical exercise, emotional state, BMI, central obesity, hypertension and diabetes were affecting factors for dyslipidemia.Multivariate non-conditioned binary logistic regression analysis showed that, age, family medical history, drinking, overweight, obesity, hypertension and diabetes were independent risk factors for dyslipidemia meanwhile higher income was a protective factor.Sensitivity analysis showed that, age and drinking were removed from affecting factors in patients excluding high-TC meanwhile gender was added; family medical history, drinking, overweight, obesity, hypertension and diabetes were removed from affecting factors in patients excluding high-TG meanwhile smoking was added; gender was added into affecting factors in patients excluding high-LDL-C; drinking was removed from affecting factors in patients excluding low-HDL-C meanwhile smoking and central obesity were added.ConclusionThe prevalence of dyslipidemia at a high level in Pingyang, measures should be taken to prevent the people who are at higher risk from getting dyslipidemia.Age, family medical history, drinking, overweight, obesity, hypertension and diabetes were risk factors for dyslipidemia. Healthy lifestyle should be advocated.
