Objective:To explore the influence of the restoring of the subtalar joint to the hindfoot function in sandersâ…¢ calcaneal fractures. Methods:In our hospital, we chose 60 cases with 78 calcaneal fractures in the HIS medical record system.with strict standards randomly.which based upon x-Ray and CT imaging data,male,49 cases,60 calcaneal fractures,Fmale,11 cases 18 calcaneal fractures.Age:19-61 years old.the average is 39.1 years old.48 cases were injured with a fall from a height,8 cases were injured in the vehicle accidents.other cases were injured in some other kinds of trauma.we performed open reduction and interual fixation on all of the 78 calcaneal fractures. In the experimental group.we restored the subtalar joint on the 30 cases. In the control group.we performed ORIF and subtalar arthrodesis on the 30 cases.During the operation,it is important to evaluate the post-articulation of the talocalcaneous joint using the Broden oblique view.lateral view of the post foot. And then we evaluate the postoperative foot function score and analyze in statistical methods.in the following 36 months.Result:Following the statistics analysis, t test, t=5.212, p=0.00 difference have statistical significance. Conclusion:To treat the SandersIIIcalcaneal fractures.it is good to restore the subtalar joint than fuse the subtalar joint. In the operation procedure, the imaging in the opreration especially the Brodent oblique view is helpfull to evaluate the congruency of the subtalar joint.Based on the calcaneal anatomic, biomechanical principle and our clinical data, we recommend it is benifical to the hindfoot function if we restore the subtalar joint congruency.when we performed the ORIF on the Sanders â…¢calcaneal fractures.
