Health is the foundation of human survival and development. It reflects a country’s economic development and social progress. As the reform process continues to advance, our residents’ health has been greatly enhanced. But urban-rural dualistic structure is hindering the development of the major social, economic, political reasons. Compared to residents in the rural and the people in the urban, their health has difference. So it is necessary that health has increasingly become the focus of attention from many social people. In the research of human health, it was found that health in addition to the education, fixed number of year of the medical service system, family per capital income levels, and family population size, the influence of such factors as at the same time, it is closely related to other social capital. But in China, the research on the relation between social capital and health research is still rare. Because rural health and other public service facilities is backward, level of peasant’s education is low and health awareness is not strong, there is a big difference between urban and rural residents’ health. And rural areas are dominated by agriculture, because of the difficult environment in rural areas and the special nature of farming has led to the expansion of health, so health is becoming an important factor in farmers’ income and promoting rural economic and social development. The objective of this research is the Chinese rural elderly residents. It is based on the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study 2011 national baseline survey data. The group mainly includes middle-aged and elderly people aged over 45 with their spouses,(10594 people). Among them, the data of rural residents in the eastern part is 3940, 3717 in the Central and 2937 in the West. This study uses binary choice Probit model empirical study of rural residents and the three parts of the country people of the relationship between social capital and health, the authors find that when controlling for the endogeneity of social capital, the effect of social capital on health status is highly significant. A 1% increase in social capital index will lead to 22.9% increase in the probability of having good health.; A 1% increase in social capital index will lead to 5.5% increase in the probability of having good health about the eastern region; A 1% increase in social capital index will lead to 3.0% increase in the probability of having good health about the central region; A 1% increase in social capital index will lead to29.2% increase in the probability of having good health about the western region. Thus, different parts of the rural residents of social capital impact on the health of different levels. The primary policy implication is that population health and health equality can be improved through the increase in social capital., better to create a harmonious and stable development of the situation. Meanwhile, the government should pay attention to the regional differences in this effect.
