| Aim:Observe the therapeutic effects on insomnia patients with deficiency in heart and spleen with the methods of Si-shi strengthening yang-qi acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods:To select a total of 64 patients who was 18-60 years old in line with the diagnostic criteria of the western and TCM diagnostic criteria for insomnia of deficiency in heart and spleen, hospital center section for outpatients during February 2014 to December 2014, then to random the patients into Si-shi strengthening yang-qi treatment group and Si-shi acupuncture and moxibustion control group, the treatment lasted for a month. Taking the before&after treatment and 3-month later of the treatment these 3 periods into consideration, we will study the changes in the patients by using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), TCM syndrome scale score about deficiency of both the heart and spleen, severe insomnia index scale (ISI).All the data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS 19.0.Results:l.The two groups are comparable in terms of before treatment baseline data (age, gender, duration, PSQI score, TCM syndrome scale score about deficiency of both the heart and spleen, severe insomnia index score), there is no statistically significant(P>0.05).2.After the treatment, the treatment group cure rate was 43.33%, while cure rate was 33.33% in the control group, obviously reflecting that the curative effect of treatment group is better than the control group (P<0.05).After the treatment, before&after treatment of PSQI scores of the treatment group and control group themselves, TCM syndrome scale score about deficiency in heart and spleen, and severe insomnia index score, all shows great significant difference (P<0.05).Between treatment group and the control way of PSQI score and sleep quality and daytime function score, with significant difference (P<0.05);between treatment group and the control way of the TCM syndrome scale score about deficiency in heart and spleen, and insomnia seriously index score comparison, there is no statistically significant (P>0.05).3.Follow-up of the 3-month later of the treatment in the two groups score comparison:in contrast PSQI score to the TCM syndrome scale score about deficiency of both the heart and spleen, there is no statistically significant (P>0,05), but in contrast daytime function to ISI, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions:Si-shi strengthening yang-qi method to treat insomnia in deficiency of both the heart and spleen, in the improvement of patients’ clinical symptoms, PSQI score, TCM syndrome scale score about deficiency of both the heart and spleen, severe insomnia index score, daytime function, has a significant clinical effect. The therapy is superior to that control group in improving patients the curative effect of sleep, sleep quality, daytime function; follow-up the therapy is superior to that control group in daytime function and sleep severity index scale, the curative effect of the treatment group for insomnia is more durable. |
