Objective: Plasma amino acid of gastric cancer Patients were detected and compared with the healthy human. Analytical specificity of gastric cancer metabolites and its clinical significance. Methods: Collection fasting blood samples of gastric cancer patients and healthy, including 32 cases of gastric cancer patients and 20 cases of healthy. 19 kinds of amino acids were determined by High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). And analyzed in normal gastric cancer and its significance differences in amino acid content.Analyze the differences of amino acid content between gastric cancer patients and healthy, explore its clinical significance. Results: Gastric cancer patients were significantly lower than healthy in plasma aspartic acid, glutamic acid, asparagine, serine, glycine, histidine, arginine, threonine, taurine, alanine, tyrosine leucine, valine, methionine, lysine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine(P<0.01), while plasma proline, cystine showed no significant difference(P>0.05). Conclusion: 17 kinds of plasma amino acids level in gastric cancer patients were significantly lower than in healthy. Gastric cancer patients can be well distinguished from healthy based on HPLC. HPLC have important clinical significance in the diagnosis and screening of gastric cancer.
