Objective:To compare and evaluate the postoperative outcomes of 2.0mm small incision lenticule extraction(2.0mm SMILE) and laser in situ keratomileusis with femtosecond laser(FS-LASIK) for myopia.Methods:48 patients(96 eyes)with myopia were selected for 2.0mm SMILE and another 50 patients(100 eyes)were selected for FS-LASIK at the same time.Uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),spherical equivalent(SE) and quality of life(QOL) were measured preoperatively and at 1 day and 7 days and 1 month,3 months and 6 months Postoperatively.Data were analyzed using a chi square test,non-parametric test,paired-sample t test and independent samples t test by SPSS 19.0software.Results:The SMILE group average visual acuity is higher than the FS-LASIK group at 1 week,1 month,3 months and 6 months Postoperatively, and visual acuity state of the SMILE group is more stable. The SMILE group is higher than the FS-LASIK group in rate to get postoperative BCVA < preoperative BCVA after operation 1 month,3 months,6 months, and difference has statistical significance(p<0.05).1 eye was overcorrected in SMILE group and 1eye was undercorrected at 1 week Postoperatively. The SE were within ±1.00 D of the attempted correctio at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months Postoperatively. The index of surface variance(ISV) and the index of vertical asymmetry(IVA) of SMILE group was higher than FS-LASIK group at eatch follow-up time after surgery, the difference has statistical significance(p<0.05).Before surgery and at 6 months after surgery. There was significant difference in the scoer of QOL was found between two groups(p<0.05).The Postoperative average QOL score of two groups were improved than before, and the difference has statistical significance(p<0.05).Two groups have a high degree of satisfaction and rate of recommended surgeryt to other.t.In the two groups were not serious complications occurred.Conclusions:2.0mm SMILE and FS-LASIK are effective, stable and predictable to treat refractive errors.Significant Visual acuity andQOL improvements are found in the two surgery patients.2.0mm SMILE get better stay on the surface of the cornea, and in the incidence of DLK,glare and eye dry is lower than FS-LASIK.
