| Background:Causes respiratory system tumors according divided into primary and secondary, malignant and high mortality, as one of the current common cancer, with human living environment pollution increase, the incidence of primary lung cancer increasing proportion of deaths resulting annually. From a global point of view, in our country and the Asia-Africa and other less developed countries and regions, the incidence of lung cancer is higher than the global average [1-2], lung cancer incidence, mortality increasing. With medical advances, new technologies, new instrumentation and treatment continue to emerge, researchers of the trachea, bronchus and other related lung cancer more depth, anti-cancer, anti-cancer drugs production and development with each passing day. As people’s living standards improve, average life expectancy has been increasing, over 60 years old accounted for an increasing proportion of the population, the number of elderly people suffering from lung cancer and other tumors more and more, and exhibit increasing in recent years [3]. From the classification of lung cancer, the histological type of lung approximately four-fifths of non-small cell type [4], nearly half of the patients were elderly in these patients. Cancer treatment, commonly used method is surgical excision, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, medical treatment, biological treatment, according to the patients with different clinical signs and pathological features, often take a different treatment. Elderly often poor physical condition, accompanied by respiratory, circulatory, urinary, neurological diseases, and other traumatic surgical treatment of reserve capacity is poor, the elderly based on their own characteristics, the surgery, the radiation, chemotherapy for cancer, clinical often there are many difficult and chemotherapy in the treatment of disease, the presence of toxic effects in itself, and therefore the number of different tumors in elderly patients with clinical treatment process often exist, varying severity of adverse reactions and systemic damage tissues and organs. As a kind of medical technique developed centuries of history, radiation therapy because of its own unique characteristics, small pain, has become an important means of treatment in elderly cancer patients. How to increase the sensitivity of cancer cells to radiation, the greatest degree of reduced side effects caused by radiation has become a key issue of radiation oncology research.Object and research purposes of the study:This paper combines February 2014 to December 2015 were treated 48 patients aged over 60 years experience treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer, focusing on how to increase the sensitivity of lung cancer radiotherapy, radiotherapy reduced the maximum extent bring side effects make explored.Contents and methods:48 patients were treated randomly divided into two groups, one group received treatment (combined with radiotherapy) radiotherapy combined with docetaxel; another group to take radiation therapy alone means (radiotherapy group). At 30 days after the end of treatment in both groups by imaging before and after comparison of the results of two groups of patients to compare the gap between the two treatment approaches.Conclusion:Combined radiotherapy after the addition of docetaxel, tumor control rate was significantly better than radiotherapy alone. Small doses of docetaxel with radiotherapy for advanced lung cancer in elderly patients treatment can enhance the sensitivity of tumor cells to radiation, to improve the local control rate of lung cancer, reducing cancer cell metastasis. |
