The Curative Effect Of Anti-spasticity Decotion Medicated Bath Combined With Manipulation In Patients With Post-stroke Limb Spasticity

ObjectiveBy observing the two methods of treating the patients with post-stroke limb spasticity, Anti-spasticity Decotion medicated bath combined with manipulation and regular rehabilitation treatment. This research was taken out to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Anti-spasticity Decotion medicated bath combined with manipulation. Hoping for providing clinical evidence to the therapy and study of rehabilitation of TCM on post-stroke limb spasticity.MethodsThis study used a central randomized controlled method. In this study, the patients with post-stroke limb spasticity who were in accordance with the inclusive criteria, were randomly assigned into the control group and treatment group. The control group had 20 cases, and the treatment group 23 cases. The patients got basic treatment (secondary prevention, symptomatic treatment, Chinese medicine and acupuncture) and rehabilitation training. In addition to this, the treatment group also got Anti-spasticity Decotion medicated bath combined with manipulation. The treating time last for 4 weeks. Before and after the 4 weeks treatment, the patients in control group and treatment group would be evaluated by modified Ashworth scale, simplified Fugl-Meyer function assessment and modified Barthel index. Concluding that observation data, the two group would be compared with themselves before and each other. Test data were analyzed statistically by software SPSS 21.0, and we finally drew a conclusion.Results1, Baseline comparison:The general informations, modified Ashworth scale, simplified Fugl-Meyer function assessment and modified Barthel index of the control group and treatment group showed no significant difference compared(P >0.05);2, The comparison of the effect before and after treatment in the same group:After the 4 weeks treatment,the degree of spasticity, motor function and daily life ability of the two group had been improved, the datas showed significant difference compared with the datas Before the treatment (p<0.05);3, The comparison of the effect with each group after the treatment:After the 4 weeks treatment, the degree of spasticity, motor function and daily life ability of the treatment group all had been improved. Comparing with the control group,the datas showed significant difference of differences before and after of modified Ashworth scale, simplified Fugl-Meyer function assessment, simplified Fugl-Meyer upper limb function assessment, simplified Fugl-Meyer lower limb function assessment and modified Barthel index (P< 0.05). It’s illustrated that the effect of the group which using Anti-spasticity Decotion medicated bath combined with manipulation is better than regular rehabilitation treatment in improving the degree of spasticity, motor function and daily life ability.4, In the whole process of research, there were no untoward effect in the control group and treatment group.ConclusionBoth of the Anti-spasticity Decotion medicated bath combined with manipulation and the regular rehabilitation treatment could improving the degree of spasticity, motor function and daily life ability of the patients with post-stroke limb spasticity.But the treatment which using Anti-spasticity Decotion medicated bath combined with manipulation is better than regular rehabilitation treatment in improving the degree of spasticity, motor function and daily life ability. And the safety of the two treatments is reliable.
