Pertinence Analysis Of The Digestive Tract Reaction After Chemotherapy And TCM Constitution

ObjectivesThrough the investigation by the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM breast cancer diagnosis and patient involvement EC chemotherapy TCM constitution, its occurrence and extent of side effect of digestive tract after chemotherapy, to understand TCM constitution and the digestive tract reaction after Chemotherapy correlation. TCM Constitution and related digestive tract reaction induced by chemotherapy, in order to improve further by Chinese medicine around the chemotherapy the patient’s physical and Prevention for gastrointestinal reactions after chemotherapy to provide clinical basis.MethodsBy investing the TCM constitution of the patients diagnosed with brea st cancer and treated by combination chemotherapy of EC from November 201 4 to March 2016. All the patients were treated by Guangdong Provincial Ho spital of TCM. Followed up with them in a week after they finished the fi rst chemotherapy, recorded the symptoms of digestive tract reaction induc ed by chemotherapy and made pertinence analysis. Collecting the informati on of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal distention, bel ching and degree of them, recording the data into excel and using statist ical analysis by spss23.0 statistical software. Through chi-square test a nd binary logistic regression, the correlation analysis results which P＜ 0.05 are considered to have statistical significance. The regression coef ficient is closer to 1 or-1, the stronger the correlation, on the other hand, the regression coefficient is closer to 0, the less correlation.Results1. We collected 280 cases met the inclusion criteria, including consti tution of yang asthenia (32.5%), constitution of yin asthenia (4.6%), con stitution of qi stagnation (21.4%), constitution of qi asthenia (9.3%), c onstitution of blood stasis accounted for 11.1%, constitution of phlegm-d ampness (11.8%), constitution of damp-heat(7.9%), allergic constitution (0.4%), and constitution of yin-yang harmony (1.1%).2. It is associated with nausea that the constitution of Chinese medic ine types are constitution of yang asthenia, constitution of qi stagnatio n, constitution of blood stasis, constitution of phlegm-dampnessand. It i s associated with vomiting that the constitution of Chinese medicine type s constitution types have constitution of yang asthenia, constitution of qi stagnation. It is associated with diarrhea that the constitution of Ch inese medicine types are constitution of yang asthenia, constitution of q i stagnation. None of these constitutions is associated with constipatio n, abdominal distention and belching. Constitution of yang asthenia is po sitively correlated with the degree of diarrhea and vomiting. (P<0.01) T he correlation between constitution of yang asthenia and diarrhea is more obvious. Constitution of qi stagnation is positively correlated with the degree of nausea and diarrhea. (P<0.05) The correlation between constit ution of qi stagnation and nausea is more obvious. Constitution of blood stasis is positively correlated with the degree of nausea. (P<0.05) Cons titution of phlegm-dampness is correlated with the degree of nausea. (P< 0.05) The analysis of regression show that constitutions of yin asthenia, qi asthenia and damp-heat are less correlated with digestive tract react ions after chemotherapy.Conclusion1. The relationship between breast cancer and constitution of Chinese medicine:Constitution of yang asthenia and constitution of qi stagnatio n are generally more detectable than other constitutions among breast can cer patients. Constitution of yin-yang harmony and allergic constitution are less detectable than the other constitutions among breast cancer pati ents.2. Gastrointestinal reaction by chemotherapy is correlated with const itution of Chinese medicine. Constitution of yang asthenia is positively correlated with the grade of diarrhea and vomiting. Constitution of yang asthenia is more likely to have vomiting. The more yang asthenia, the mor e serious the grade of vomiting. Constitution of qi stagnation is positiv ely correlated with nausea and diarrhea. The more qi stagnation, the more serious the degree of nausea and diarrhea. Constitution of blood stasis is positively correlated with the degree of nausea. The more blood stasi s, the more serious the degree of nausea. Constitution of phlegm-dampness is correlated with the degree of nausea.
