This paper focus on breast cancer in Yunnan to deeply understand how the patients seek doctors, their routes to the hospital and their satisfaction to the health care policy. Based on the investigation, this paper will summarize the characteristics of breast cancer treatment and how the treatment is processed. Furthermore we will explore the factors that affect the seeking-doctors behaviors of breast cancer in Rural area and provide advice on appropriate medical treatment and health policies.We took a major hospital which admitted breast cancer patients in Kumming as a research site and made questionnaires and interviewed of 152 sufferers who were treated in the provincial hospital. There were totally 160 questionnaires but 160 copies returned,152 valid questionnaires. So the effective rate was 95%.Research results:Some Patient stayed in hospital for only one day but others up to 2555 days. The data shows that not timely medical treatment rate was 39.5%. Most preferred to the county hospital for medical treatment first and then the provincial hospital accounting for 35.53%, followed by the county hospitals and township hospitals and then to provincial hospitals accounting for 19.08%, but choosing the municipal hospital and provincial hospital for treatment accounted for 3.29%.90.7% of patients chose to the township, and the first choice to the county hospital was 45.7%. But the spouse and children would be involved in decision-making and the partners also helped them choose the municipal hospital accounting for 47.1%, the decision on their own accounted for 21.6%; the provincial hospital on their own accounted for 4.6%, the spouses participated in the selection for medical treatment accounting for 69.7%.Among the patients in Provincial Hospital for treatment,85.7% finished the treatment,8.6% interrupted treatment and 3.9% of patients said it would referral for treatment.Serious illness insurance awareness rate was 60.5%, mainly informed by the doctors and patients, but there were big differences between age, educational level, monthly income, medical conditions and serious illness insurance awareness. Most patients believe the health insurance had little effect on reducing economic pressure. So the health insurance needs to improve the ratio of reimbursement and reimbursement process. By logisc analysis and the research shows that the main factors affecting the patients such as personal monthly income, health concern, clinical stage and disease awareness.
