The Clinical Investigation And Analysis On The Relationship Between TCM Constitution And PPS Of Androgenetic Alopecia And Analysis Of Related Factors

Objectives:Through the clinical investigation of the distribution of TCM Constitution types of androgenetic alopecia patients and application of hair mirror observation the patient’s scalp whether there exist the distribution proportion of the main types of PPS and PPS, preliminarily discuss and analysis of the regular of the distribution of TCM Constitution types of androgenetic alopecia patients and the relationship between TCM Constitution Types and PPS.Methods:The materials which included 203 cases meet the inclusion criteria are collected in Dermatological outpatients in the Jiangsu Province TCM Hospital, from March 2015 to December 2015.This study uses Questionnaire investigation and microscopic observation in the scalp of hair. The questionnaire used standard "Chinese Physical Form" (Wang Qi nine Constitution Types scale). To estimated statistics by SPSS 16.0.Results and Conclusion:This study totally included 203 cases, male are more then female among all the AGA patients. The patients mainly concentrated in the age between 21 to 30 years old, the youngest patient was 18 years old, the oldest was 51 years old. The course of disease of AGA patients is mainly before metaphase. For man, the hair loss degree is mainly grade Ⅰ-Ⅳ, for female, is mainly grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ.The main types of TCM constitution of AGA patients is gentleness type, heat-wet type and phlegm-dampness type, and the distribution of the types of TCM constitution is not influenced by the age, gender or hair loss level of patients. PPS is common in patients with AGA, its distribution is mainly correlated with the hair loss degree of AGA patients, and there is no significant relevant to the age, gender of patients. For man, PPS is mainly be found in the patient with hair loss degree of grade I-IV, for female, is mainly grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ,as a result, we propose to bring PPS into the diagnostic criteria of early course of AGA. The mainly types of TCM constitution which distributed in PPS is gentleness type and heat-wet type, and, and the distribution of TCM constitution is not affected by WPPS and BPPS, which is the main types of PPS.
