Correlation Among Kupperman Index、 Treatment Methods And TCM Constitution Type In Perimenopausal Women Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Objective:To observe the improved kupperman index、 degree of climacteric symptoms along with its distribution of perimenopausal women diagnosed with breast cancer; observing the distribution of their TCM constitution type; this survey explores the influence of their treatment and correspongding TCM constitution type on their kupperman index which can not only provide a certain point for the therapeutic decisions for those patients but also for the further studying of perimenopausal breast cancer, further more, it can offer some therapeutic basic as to how to prevent and treat breast cancer related perimenopausal syndrome.Methods:We conduct a questionnaire survey on the perimenopausal women diagnosed with breast cancer who meet the incusion criteria in guangdong provical TCM hospital with the method of epidemiological survey . building up the data base and managing all the data with the software Excel, analysing the data by spss 20.0 statistical software。 Observing the degree and its distribution of climacteric symptoms in the patients; observing their TCM constitution; and more importantly exploring the relationship among kupperman index、 treatment and TCM constitution。Results:1、 the incidence of perimenopausal syndrome of the respondents is 96.1%, among whom most of them have moderate syptoms。 Fatigue (89.0%), insomnia (85.1%) and being emotional (85.1%), are the most common syptoms, followed by paraesthesia (81.6%), joint pain (81.6%), depression (78.5%), decreased libido (76.3%), hot flashes (69.7%), headache (66.7%), heart palpitations (65.4%), dizziness (57.5%), skin ants line sense (29.8%) and urinary tract infection symptoms (21.9%) are relatively rare.,2、 The constitution distribution of the respondents presented in descending orders are：blood stasis type(50.88%)、qi stagnation type(48.25%)、yang deficiency type (47.81%)、qi deficiency type (44.30%)、 normal constitution (32.46%)、 yin deficiency type (28.95%)、 phlegm wetness type (27.19%)、 special diathesis type(10.96%)、 wet-heat type (7.46)。3、 The chemotherapy group has higher mean rank than none-chemotherapy group, P=0.013, which implys the difference is significant 。 The mean rank of decreased libido’s degree in chemotherapy is higher than that in none-chemotherapy group, P=0.00, so the difference is statistically significant。 As to joint pain and skin ants line sense, endocrine therapy group has higher mean rank compared to the non-endocrine therapy group, p＜ 0.05, the difference was statistically significant.4、 special diathesis type doesn’t show significant effect on kupperman index, P=0.20; When being classified to be "yes" or "basic", the kupperman index of other 7 kinds of biased constitution is higher than being considered as "no", P= 0.00, so there is significant difference by statistical analysis; while normal constitution gets lower kupperman score when being judged to be "yes" or "basic", P= 0.00, with statistical significance。Conclusions:Perimenopausal syndrome occurs in most respondents, among whcich fatigue、 insomnia and being emotional are more common; blood stasis type、 qi stagnation type、 yang deficiency type and qi deficiency type can be found in many respondents; chemotherapy and endocrine therapy can exert certain influence on their climacteric symptoms; biased constitution other than special diathesis type are the risk factors which can aggravate their climacteric symptoms while normal constitution can act as a protective role.
