Investigation And Study On The Application Of Preoperative And Postoperative Adjuvantradiotherapy For Locally Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Objective To investigate the present situation of comprehensive treatment of rectal neoplasms after Department of Medical Administration, Ministry of Health of the PRC released <Standard of diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer> since 2010.Methods To investigate rectal carcinoma patients with colorectal-cancer radical resection of rectal carcinoma underwent neoadjuvant or postoperative radiotherapy according to < Standard of diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer> by Telephone,Letters and clinic from January 2010 to December 2013.Results 438 patients confirmed by pathology were enrolled in the trial. Only 9 patients received neoadjuvant-radiotherapy. And 18 out of 293 patients(6.1%)with pT3/4N0M0 or TxN1-2M0, received postoperative-radiotherapy, 33 patients(11.3%)received postoperative-concurrent-chemoradiotherapy. 242 patients( 82.6%) hadn’t received postoperative-radiotherapy yet, 71.5% of which were due to the failure of notification from the medical stuff.Conclusions Some clinicians has misunderstanding of the comprehensive treatment. And there are many things worthy of exploration and standardization, especially in the application of neoadjuvant treatment.
