Health-related Quality Of Life And Its Influencing Factors In The Elderly In Rural Areas Of Guangxi Zhuang Minority Regions In China

Objective:To evaluate the quality of life status of Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong, Mulao, Maonan, Hui, Jing minority and the Han nationality in Guangxi rural elderly. In addition, evidence-based strategies are put forward to improve the health-quality of life in Guangxi minority autonomous region.Methods: By means of many phases stratified cluster system sampling. The questionnaires including family form and the elderly individual basic information form were used to acquaint the object family and personal basic situation. A questionnaire consisted of the five-dimensional European quality of health scale(EQ-5D), demographic and socioeconomic information was adopted for data collection. Epidata 3.1 was used to set up a database and double entry check. All of the data were dealt with by software SPSS 18.0. The main methods of statistics were variance analysis, chi-square test, t-test and multiple regressions Analysis.Inspection level for alpah=0.05.Result:1、The survey questionnaire application of the total EQ-5D Cronbach ’s’ alpha coefficient was 0.624, the average measurement of the intra class correlation was 0.472, the EQ-5D index and the EQ-VAS score between the Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.431.2、The average score of EQ-VAS in the rural elderly in minority areas of Guangxi was(69.82±10.63), and the EQ-5D index score was(0.784±0.153).3、The elderly to their self care ability evaluation is relatively high, the satisfaction rate is 93.1%, and the pain or discomfort evaluation is poor, the satisfaction rate is 30.1%. Among them, the highest score of the health of the elderly in the EQ-5D health index was 0.81, and the score of the EQ-5D health index of the Hui nationality elderly was the lowest, which was 0.76.4、The quality of life of the elderly in rural areas in Guangxi minority areas is affected by age, marital status, income level, sex, educational level, chronic diseases and so on. The quality of life of different groups of people has different characteristics.5、A multiple factor analysis showed that Guangxi different nationalities rural elderly EQ-5D index scores and age, sex, education level and chronic disease. The older, female, low education level, people with chronic diseases of rural elderly people the EQ-5D index score lower, health status of poor. EQ-VAS self score and age, gender, educational level, annual household per capita income and is suffering from chronic diseases exist. Women, age, low educational level, family per capita annual total income is low, with chronic disease in the elderly in the rural areas of EQ-VAS rated themselves lower, self health condition is bad. Two healths related scores were affected by age, gender, educational level and chronic disease.Conclusion:1、 Health related quality of life measurement scale(EQ-5D) reliability and good validity acceptable can be applied to the investigation of Guangxi minority region the quality of life of elderly people in rural areas, but part of the contents need to be revised in order to meet the need of low cultural level of the elderly in rural areas.2、 The evaluation of the self- care ability of the elderly in the rural areas of Guangxi is relatively high, and the evaluation of the pain or discomfort is worse. Among them, the Zhuang ethnic group is the best quality of life for the elderly in this survey.3、The main factors affecting the quality of life of the rural elderly in Guangxi minority areas are gender, age, education level, family income, chronic diseases, among which the most important chronic diseases are the most important factors.
