The Clinical Research On Efficacy Of Pneumonia Cough Wind-heat Blocking The Lung With The Jiaweimaxingshigan Decoction

ObjectiveTo discuss the pathology and etiology、treatment and formulas of pediatric pneumonia cough in theory and clinical aspects. To investigate and evaluate the clinical curative effect about the Jiaweimaxingshigan decoction which is used to treat the pediatric pneumonia cough wind-heat blocking the lung, which is hoped to provide clinical thinking and experience for the future pneumonia treatment of Chinese medicine.MethodsIn this research, totally 40 cases were recruited in department of Pediatrics, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from February 2015 to December 2015 which conform the diagnostic standards on pediatric pneumonia cough wind-heat blocking the lung, and divided them into treatment group and control group by whether they take Chinese decoction or not,20 cases in each group. The two groups were given regular Western treatments equally, and the treatment group were treated with the combination of Jiaweimaxingshigan decoction and Western treatments. Investigate and grade their fever、cough、pulmonary rales and other syndromes every day until they leave the hospital. Record their lab results (WBC、US-CRP、PCT、HBD-2) before and after the treatments、total days they were in the hospital, and compare the results when the observation was finished.ResultsAll the cases included in the results. The two groups have a comparability in gender、age、course、condition、symptoms and signs points, which have no significant difference (P>0.05). After the therapy, the total effective rate of the two groups are all 100%, it means these two therapys are effective in pediatric pneumonia;But the cure rate of the treatment group is 75%, while the control group is 40%, by the rank test analysis, the cure rate of the treatment group is superior to the control group(P<0.05);Comparing in the TCM syndrome integral, after the therapy, the two groups are all able to reduce the scores (P <0.05), but the treatment group is superior to the control group in improve the main symptoms and signs, especially in sputum, the difference is statistically significant (P< 0.05);Compared the average hospitalization time, there has no significant difference (P> 0.05);Compared the lab results,the white blood cell、US-CRP、PCT are decreased in the two groups(P < 0.05), it shows that the two therapy are all able to improve the inflammation;Compared the HBD-2 concentration in serum, the difference between the treatment group and control group is not statistically significant(P< 0.05);The HBD-2 level increased significantly than their before in the two groups (P< 0.05), but there has no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05).ConclusionThere have an exact clinical effect on the improvement of symptoms and signs、decrement of inflammation index in children’ s pneumonia cough wind-heat blocking the lung by the combination of Jiaweimaxingshigan decoction and Western treatments, boost the cure rate, and is worth for the future generalization.
