Clinical Research On The Effectiveness Of Naoxuekang Capsules In Treating Carotid Atherosclerosis

Objective:To evaluate the treating effect of naoxuekang capsule in Carotid Atherosclerosis with Blood Stasis Syndrome.Method:One hundred and ten cases of Carotid Atherosclerosis with Blood Stasis Syndrome were divided into three groups.All cases were enrolled in Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM from May 2015 to February 2016. Antiplatelet drugs (aspirin or clopidogrel) were all administered regularly, and other anti-atherosclerosis drugs were forbiddened. Group 1 were added Naoxuekang capsules treatment, Group 2 were given rosuvastatin, Group 3 were given Naoxuekang capsules and rosuvastatin together. The treatment cycle was 12 weeks. The Parameters of CIMT, plaques, blood lipids and the safety bout three groups were recorded. Data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0。Results:All the parameters we recorded before the treatment had no significant statistical difference (P<0.05).1) The rate of plaques reversal was 40.00%,50.00% and 59.25%, separately in three groups. The rate of deterioration was 10.00%,0.00% and 2.38%. The plaques reversal rate of three groups had significant statistical difference (P<0.05). The rate of plaques conversion combination group was higher than the Rosuvastatin group, and that of Naoxuekang capsules group was lowest. Moreover, the rate of plaques conversion had nothing to do with the types of plaque (P>0.05).2) The CIMT were differently reduced in each group and all had statistical difference (P<0.05). In three groups, it all had statistical difference(P<0.05).According to the average rank for the three groups(45.71>42.27>68.33), the combination group was the most effective group in the three groups, and the effect of Naoxuekang capsules group was the least.3)There were no significant difference in blood lipids on the three groups(P>0.05). But it had statistical significance(P<0.05) in terms of the decreasing of TG, LDL, and there were no difference in terms of reducing TC and increasing HLD(P>0.05).4) Compared with the other two groups, the group taking naoxuekang had higher incidence of gastrointestinal reactions, but lower incidence of liver and kidney dysfunction.Conclusion:Naoxuekang capsule might be an effective anti-atherosclerosis medicine, especially in CAS plaques reversal, and it also be safe in clinical use.
