Observation Of Clinical Effect On The Treatment Of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis With Spleen And Stomach Deficiency By Replenishing Qi And Invigorating The Spleen Therapy

Objective:To observe TCM syndrome characteristics of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with spleen and stomach deficiency, and the clinical effect of Replenishing Qi and invigorating the Spleen therapy on Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with spleen and stomach deficiency. And then providing reference for clinical treatment by summing up tutor’s medicine rule of the disease.Methods:The self-controlled study enrolled seventy Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Patients with spleen and stomach deficiency. The Patients were treated with Yi Qi Jian Pi decoction (orally) for 12 weeks. TCM symptoms distribution, score of symptoms before and after treatment, score of endoscopic manifestations and pathologic score were observed to evaluate clinical effect and safety of the decoction.Results:Symptoms of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with spleen and stomach deficiency includes vague epigastralgea(81.4%), appetite decrease (72.9%), fullness in the stomach (71.4%), fond of heat and Pressing(64.3%), loose stool (61.4%). After the treatment, there was significant difference in main symptom scores (vague epigastralgea, appetite decrease, fullness in the stomach, fond of heat and Pressing, loose stool) before and after treatment (P= 0.000 <0.001). When came to secondary symptoms, there was significant difference in listlessness (P=0.003<0.01) before and after treatment. However, there was no difference in tastelessness (P=0.564>0.05) before and after treatment. The total effective rate of TCM symptoms was 87.14%. There was significant difference in score of endoscopic manifestations before and after treatment (P= 0.000<0.001). The total effective rate of Yi Qi Jian Pi decoction on endoscopic manifestations was 35.94%. There was significant difference in atrophic score (P=0.000<0.01) and intestinal metaplasia score (P=0.000<0.01) before and after treatment. There was significant difference in dysplasia score (P=0.005<0.01). The total effective rate of atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, and dysplasia was 35.71%,33.33%,and 72.73%.There were no adverse drug reactions during the course of treatment, which indicated the clinical safety of Yi Qi Jian Pi decoction.Conclusions:Yi Qi Jian Pi decoction is safe and could effectively alleviate the symptoms of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with spleen and stomach deficiency. Besides, it can improve endoscopic manifestations. Replenishing Qi and invigorating the Spleen therapy has reliable clinical effect on Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with spleen and stomach deficiency.
