The high morbidity and mortality makes early diagnosis of lung cancer is especially important. Currently the diagnosis of lung cancer mainly rely on pathology and radiological methods. Pathology is often more difficult to detect and difficult repeat detection, radiological diagnosis is too late to diagnosis because the lung cancer have been in an advanced stage, both are not conducive to the early diagnosis of the disease. Serum tumor markers has superiority of little trauma, simple operation and often has a significant increase in the early stages of disease, which have been more and more people attention to. However, up to present, there is no a specific tumor marker with high sensitivity and specificity to being useful in the early diagnosis of lung cancer. In order to improve the early diagnosis of lung cancer, the serum levels of HE4,CEA, CYFRA21-1 and NSE were detected in this test.Objective:To detect the serum level of human epididymis protein 4(HE4),carcino embryonic antigen(CEA),cytokeratin 19 fragment(CYFRA21-1) and neuron specific enolase(NSE), we explore changes in the level and value of combined detection of lung cancer.Methods:The serum levels of HE4, CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1were detected in 76 Patients With untreated Primary Lunge cancer and during the same period of 60 healthy subjects by Electrochemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer in the Fifth Central Hospital of Tianjin between September2012 and August2014. Using 17.0 statistical software to process these data between the two groups were compared using the t test for independent sample. Evaluation detection of tumor markers effectiveness andcomparative analysis were analyzed by receiver operative characteristic(ROC) curve.Results:All serum levels of the 4 tumor markers in the Patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than these of health subjects(P<0.05). The value of HE4, CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1in different types of lung cancer, HE4 haven’t significant difference in lung cancer pathology groups, CEA has the highest concentration in lung adenocarcinoma, NSE is higher in the SCLC, CYFRA21-1 is higher concentrations in lung squamous cell group. ROC curve analysis for lung cancer diagnosis, HE4 area under the curve is greater than CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1. HE4, CEA, CYFRA21-1, NSE combined detection sensitivity was 92.1% higher than the individual detection.Conclusion:1. Serum HE4, CEA, CYFRA21-1 and NSE can be used as markers of lung cancer in clinical. 2. HE4 did not show significant differences in the pathological type of lung cancer, CEA have better diagnostic value for lung adenocarcinoma, NSE is a valuable for SCLC detection, CYFRA21-1 is the higher level in squamous cell carcinoma of lung. 3.
