Objective: To Observe the clinical improving effect of traditional Chinese medicine Tangzhiping on the type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)with insulin resistance(IR) which has the Qi Yin deficiency and phlegm and stasis syndrome, we can have a objective evaluation of clinical efficacy and safety of the Tangzhiping. Through the changes of all the relevant indicators, we can provide widely applied in clinic on the basis of the Tangzhiping in the treatment of T2 DM.Methods: We selected the 70 patients which both match T2 DM IR diagnostic criteria and criteria of deficiency of the Qi Yin deficiency and phlegm and stasis syndrome in the TianShui hospital of traditional Chinese medicine. We averagely divided the 70 patients into two group, the control group and the treatment group with 30 cases in each group. All patients were signed informed consent. Both of the groups were given basic life intervention treatment, control group were provided with oral Metformin hydrochloride tablets(0.5g/time,2 times a day),and except taking Metformin hydrochloride tablets, the treatment group were provided with traditional Chinese medicine Tangzhiping(2 times a day). We taken 4 weeks as a course of treatment, and observed 2 course of treatment. Observing the changes of index of FPG、2hPG、HbAlc、FINS、TG、TC、HDL-C、LDL-C、BMI、IRI、ISI、TCM syndrome integral before and after treatment, and then we fill in the case report and make statistical analysis by using SPSS 19.0 statistical software. Results: After treatment,(1)Comprehensive curative effect is that the treatment group is87.8% and the control group is 63.6%, the curative effect of the treatment group is obviously better than the curative effect of the control group(P<0.05).(2)Of the two groups, the total effective rate of TCM syndrome of the treatment group is 90.9%, the control group is 69.7%,the curative effect of the treatment group is obviously better than the curative effect of the control group(P<0.05).(3)Compared with prior treatment, the level of FPG、2hPG、HbA1c of the two groups is declined(P<0.01), and the FPG of the treatment group is much better(P<0.05). Both of the two groups has the same curative effect in the improvement of 2hPG、HbAlc(P>0.05).(4)The level of TG、TC、LDL-C、HDL-C of the two groups has muchimprovement( P < 0.05), the TG and LDL-C curative effect of the treatment group is obviously better than the curative effect of the control group(P < 0.05).(5) The treatment group’ BMI has been declined after treatment, and the result has statistical difference(P<0.05),the control group before the treatment, and the result has no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).And the BMI level has no obvious difference after treatment, this shows that the curative effect of the two groups is the same in BMI(P>0.05).(6)The FINS、IRI and ISI level of the two groups has been significantly improved(P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the patients’ FINS、IR and ISI has been significantly improved after treatment, and the result has statistical difference(P<0.05).(7)This shows that IRI has some relationship with FINS and FPG of the diabetic patients.(8)There was no obvious adverse reaction during the treatment period. The Tangzhiping is good safety. Conclusion: The curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine Tangzhiping for patients on T2 DM IR which has the Qi Yin deficiency and phlegm and stasis syndrome significantly, and the Tangzhiping has no obvious side effects and unhealthy reaction. The Tangzhiping can play a positive role in insulin resistance aspect through improving the body quality level, metabolization of blood sugar and blood fat,and increase the peripheral tissue sensitivity to insulin.
