Clinical Status And Prospect Of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound In Treatment Of Cesarean Scar Pregnancy

Cesarean scar pregnancy(CSP) is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy, as one of the long-term complications after cesarean section. In recent years, the incidence of domestic cesarean scar pregnancies show clear rising trend accompanies the rate of cesarean delivery is on the rise. There are no consistent protocols or clinical guidelines for the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy, and the main therapies of CSP include medicine conservative treatment, uterine artery embolization, dilation & curettage and surgical management,and each method has its advantages and disadvantages. High intensity focused ultrasound, as a non-invasive and no radioactive treatment, has been applied in the treatment of a variety of benign diseases of obstetrics and gynecology, such as uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis and placenta accreta, etc., and it achieved good clinical results. Embarking from the clinical status of CSP, this paper raises the advantages of HIFU in treating CSP, then detailedly states and explores the mechanisms, the feasibility, the current plans and the effect evaluation of HIFU in the treatment of CSP, finally makes a comparison of HIFU with other therapies of CSP, presents some questions about the current situation of HIFU in treating CSP, and prospects a good application prospect in HIFU treating CSP noninvasively.
