| Objective:The effect of finasteride in protection of detrusor function of benign prostatic hyperplasia model rats. Methods:Establish 20 benign prostatic hyperplasia model rats, then randomly divided into control group and experimental group. Under the testosterone propionate and estradiol acrylic acid maintain daily dose injection, the experimental group was orally administered finasteride(0.8mg/kg.d-1) and the control group was orally administered the same normal saline, 5 weeks later, the rats were sacrificed to detect relevant indicators.Results:1. Comparing experimental group and control group, prostate weight and prostate index improved significantly, which confirmed finasteride can reduce prostate weight.2. Prostate index and the rate of caspase-3 expression have a positive correlation, which revealing that finasteride may improve bladder detrusor function by reducing the weight of prostate. Conclusion:Comparing the experimental and control groups, prostate index and weight of the experimental group were reduced, and the rate of caspase-3 expression in bladder smooth muscle cells decreased, indicating that finasteride may improve bladder detrusor function by reducing prostate weight. |
