| Cardiac cachexia is a serious complication of advanced congestive heart failure which is characterized by reduced weight gain, changes in body composition and balance disorders. There is no uniform definition while it’s one of the indicator of critical condication. Its pathogenesis is complex and not yet clear entirely, generally considered to be caused by multiple factors such as decreased food intake, changes of gastrointestinal tract, imbalance of metabolism, Immunology and neurohormonal activation.This paper is a review of the advances in pathogenesis of cardiac cachexia. |
