The Study Of Level â…¥ Lymph Node Sin Head And Neck Carcinoma

Objective: The thesis comprehensively reviewed the significance of of VI area lymph node metastasis in Head and neck carcinoma including laryngopharynx carcinoma, laryngeal carcinoma, and thyroid carcinoma.Methods: Searched in PubMed, CNKI, VIP databases and collected the open literaturesat home and abroad, associated with VI area lymph node in neck between 1961 and 2015.Search words in PubMed: VI area lymph node / Head and Neck carcinoma / Delphian lymph node/Paratracheal lymph node/Pretracheal lymph node. Search words in CNKI, VIP databases:VI area lymph node, head and neck carcinoma, paratracheal lymph nodes,prelaryngeal lymph nodes, pretracheal lymph nodes, laryngopharynx carcinoma, laryngeal carcinoma, and thyroid carcinoma.Results: Many domestic and overseas literatures confirmed that the metastatic lymph node ratio of VI area lymph node is different in the laryngopharynx carcinoma, laryngeal carcinoma, and thyroid carcinoma. It is independent factors that VI area lymph node metastasis may affect postoperative recurrence rate and 5-year survival rate of patient, so it is significant for head and neck carcinoma.Conclusions: At present, it is still necessary to identify whether there are lymph node metastasis through advanced and reliable diagnostic tools.It is advised to have preoperative evaluation of VI area lymph node metastasis for patients with head and neck carcinoma and clinical comprehensive evaluation according to the location of the tumor. It is necessary to have lymph node dessiction of paratracheal lymph nodes,prelaryngeal lymph node, pretracheal lymph nodeand avoid excessive and inappropriate treatment, it may improve the postoperative survival rate and survival quality of patients.
