Academic emotions are various emotional experiences that directly linked to academic learning, classroom instruction, and academic achievement. Academic emotions are important non-intelligence factor that don’t only affect students’attention, memory, judgement and reasoning, but also influence college students’psychological and physical health. Self-support Personality is viewed as an exeellent personality factor in traditional Chinese culture and hypothesized as a health personality. And it can be divided into interpersonal and personal domains,Interpersonal Self-Support (ISS) and Personal Self-Support (PSS), each divided into five specific personality traits. And previous researches suggested it has the function of maintaining mental health.By means of SSPS-AS (Self-supporting Personality Scale for Adolescent Students) and AEQ (Academic Emotions Questionnaire). This study investigates the cases of615students and analyses the results of the investigation.Through descriptive analysis, relevant analysis and regression anaiysis, we discussed the characteristics of SSP and AE of students in Chongqing area.In addition,we also discussed the relationship of SSP and AE.The results are as follows:(1) The level of college students’Self-supporting Personality is generally high in Chongqing areas. The highest score of Interpersonal Self-Support is interpersonal responsibility and the same of Personal Self-Support is personal independence.(2) Academic emotions of college students in Chongqing have significant differences among the gender and grades.(3) Self-supporting personality(except personal flexibility) has positve correlation with postive-high arousal academic emotions and postive-low arousal academic emotions, but negative correlation with negative-high arousal academic emotions and negative-low arousal academic emotions.(4) Many dimensions of Self-supporting Personality can forecast academic emotions, especially personal self-support.
