Fang Xian Fu’s Status And Role In The"great Ritual Controversy"

Abstract：The “Great Ritual Controversy” is a great incidence in thepolitical history of Ming Dynasty.The cause of “Great Ritual Controversy” isdebated on the title emperor of Emperor Jiajing’s father-Xing Xian Wang. Fangxianfu just a low-ranking bureaucrat. in the government，however，he handedhis proposals to the emperor Jiajing,，blowed the force of anti-Emperor Jiajingheavily. Fangxianfu insist that Emperor Jiajing should inherit the orthodox ofMing Dynasty rather than be the heir of Hongzhi Emperor. Fangxianfu assistedthe Zhangcong’s faction beat and removed the opposition completely in theseventh year of Emperor Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. Though,FangXianFu hasn’t deep effect to the history of Ming Dynasty，but his chararisticand contribution is attracting historian attention recently.
