The earliestliterature records of Panhu mythology can be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynastybook†customs clearance justice†written by YingShao, then the Southern SongDynasty people Fan Ye wrote Panhu mythology into the official history, which hasfar-reaching influence on generations.Panhu legends widely spread in she, Yao, Miao ethnic groups of China, andPanhu legends is actually the holy oral history in these ethnic groups, which firms theethnic identity and has become a prominent cultural characterization different fromother ethnic groups.
