Going beyond thetraditional and humdrum depictions, Mo Yan caught the emotions of every life andcreature with his unusual cognition and rendered them their own spirits with hisspecial technique of expression.Through employing Wang Xijie’s Chinese Rhetoric asthe theoretical foundation and adopting intensive reading, reference collecting,induction-deduction, contrast, and statistics research, this thesis analyzes Mo Yan’stechnique of expression and its impact upon te readers for the purpose of disclosingthe artistic features of Red Sorghum Clan and Mo Yan’s phonetic, lexicological,rhetorical and syntactical technique in building up his linguistic field.The innovations of this study include: firstly, the linguistic feature of Mo Yan’swork is analyzed on the basis of multiple linguistic theories and the previousresearches; secondly, this study on his prose-dialect-combining style will promote theappreciation and application of Mo Yan’s writing technique in the future.
