| Bashu Grottos, a perfect demonstration of Chinese culture. Many statues ofdancing from Song dynasty can be found among these grottos. These statues shows thatdancers in Song dynasty are delicateã€implicit and elegance, and it also demonstrate thatSong dance is gentleã€introvertedã€stylization〠philosophically〠and exquisite. Afterthe evolution of dance in the former dynasties, Song dance assimilate all theircharacteristics successfully,and developed a new genre of Chinese dance. This can beseen as the second most important evolution in Chinese dancing history.After the investigationã€documentation analyses and comparison, this thesis willdemonstrate it’s argumentation with in six chapters. Chapter1: Define the thesis’spurview and conceptsã€explain the significances of this research; discuss the existingresearch made by the others, analyses the characteristics of those dancing statues andclassifications made by the former researcher, set the own classification for thisthesis:â€Heaven spectacle†and “Secular spectacleâ€; Chapter2: Discuss the establish andculture background of Song genre dance which were found in the statues of BashuGrottos; Chapter3: Set four classification for the Song Dance,and analyses the bodylanguage of Song genre dance with examples; Chapter4: Classify the “Secularspectacle†in to three new classification,analyses the pictures of them, focused on themovementã€spectacleã€clothingã€stage property and significance of Song genre dance;Chapter5: Analyses all the dancing statues in Bashu Grottos and their culturebackground, present the aesthetics characteristics of Song genre dance; Chapter6:Conclusion. This thesis can be seen as a add-up for the research of Chinese dance, andalso can be used as a theoretic sport for the modern dancer to rendition thir own BashuSong genre dance. |
