| “BIâ€Construction is a sentence pattern in which“BIâ€phrase acts as an adverbialphrase. The form is ‘X比Y·W’, in which X stands for comparative subject, Y standsfor comparative object and W stands for comparative result.“BIâ€Construction hasalways been one of the hot topics in the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign languageand it is regarded as one of the key grammars of teaching materials in the initial stage.For beginners of Chinese, they only study Chinese for a short time and just acquirelimited vocabulary and grammar rules, thus they are easily disturbed by their mothertoungue and they can not understand the syntax, semantic and pragmatics rules of the“BIâ€Construction very well, as a result, they make all kinds of errors when they aretrying to use“BIâ€construction. On the basis of previous research, this paper takes erroranalysis of the“BIâ€Construction in Chinese by Indonesian students of primary stage.In this paper, a large quantity of error corpus is collecdted by questionnaire survey.After recording and reorganizing the error corpus, we found out the error types made byIndonesian students when they were trying to use“BIâ€Construction. In detail, errortypes lie in five aspects: comparative items, comparative result items, comparativemarks, comparative point, and negative form. We made detailed descriptions ofphenomena of errors, such as disordering, omission, insertion, misuse and ellipsis ineach error type. Then, we found out the reason why Indonesian students usually makesuch errors by contrastive analysis of Chinese and Indonesian. The reasons are: negativetransfer of mother tongue and English, complexity of target language and lack a goodgrasp of target language. At last, we came up with some teaching suggestions from theaspect of textbook compilation and classroom teaching. Specifically, textbookcomplilation should be strengthened from three points: layout of grammar itmes,explanation of grammar items and design of grammar exercise. Besides, teachers shouldpay attention to the following three aspects: first, the teaching of“BIâ€Constructionshould start from the easiest part and go to the most difficult part; second, based onsemantics, the teaching of“BIâ€Construction should combine syntactic and pragmaticteaching; third, teachers should seize the learners’ main problems and pay attention tothe contrastive teaching of Chinese and Indonesian. |
