In the way of learning the violin, the etudes can not be neglected.Like Mazas, Kreutze,Rode,Dont, many of the etudes are played beforeplaying music compositions by all violin learners. Wieniawski ’s L’ecolemodern and Etudes caprice op.10, a excellent teaching material, alwaysbe neglected because of the extreme difficulties about calligraphy andmelodic express. Wieniawski was a figure who can not be ignored in19thEuropean music world, and he was an honor as a musician in Portlandbecause of his brilliant skills and composition talents. Romanticismcan be seen in almost all his musical works, also in the L’ecole modernand Etudes caprice op.10. Expressive melody and excellent skills makeevery etude crucial. According to the data in my possession, it is rareto study the violin etudes, and the research of the L’ecole modern andEtudes caprice op.10was only mentioned in his books, it is not anin-depth analysis. We analyze not only from the playing skills, theetudes also have their own melody and musical atmosphere. Leopold Auer’s student once said,"Playing the etudes, not the practice of themovement, should be played to express the basic musical implications.Teachers also should encourage students to discuss this issue."Accordingly, the paper will analyze the value of the L’ecole modernand Etudes caprice op.10in two aspects. One is the way of melodicgoing the other is the playing skills of two hands. It provides themethods of practice for learners to master perform skills whiledevelop their musical performance ability, To achieve the purpose ofstudy etudes more deep.
