Comparative Study Of The Vowel System On The Five Dialect Rhyme Dictionaries Of Wuyuan Dialect

This dissertation researches on the Wuyuan dialect rhyming by choosingrepresentative books from more than thirty publishment, these selected books are“North Wuyuan dialect vocabulary”,“City Wuyuan dialect vocabulary”,“Dialectvocabulary”(Huanjin Wang),“Dialect vocabulary”(Han Yu),“Dialectvocabulary”(Diefan Xia). By collecting and proofreading these five books, thisdissertation will conclude from the stylistic rules and content, describe the dialectsystem which they reflect and extract the rhyming features of them. In the meantime,this dissertation will compare the similarities and differences of rhyming categoriesand features based on the phonology, so as to comprehend the similarities anddifferences overall. It has a fabulous value in Wuyuan dialect rhyming study,especially in the changing pattern of Yunmu (simple or compound vowel of a Chinesesyllable) in Wuyuan dialect rhyming. According to the comparisions of phonologycharacteristics，we can find these five books have the same characteristics onyangsheng finals.The differences are mainly manifested in yinsheng finals.Thesamenesses of five books are: confluence of Jiang Dang, Zeng Geng, Zhen Shen,ShanXian,etc. The differences of five books are:the confluence of Guo Jia,Xie LiuXiao,Tong Jiang Dang,the Kaihe antinomias of GuoJia,ZhenShen,etc.
