| The translation and explanation of vocabulary is an integral part in Chineseteaching textbooks. As a global language, English is preferred in foreign languagetranslation. However, due to differences between English and Chinese in terms oflexical semantic complexity and language usage, grammar and other aspects, there aredifferent degrees of problems in vocabulary translation in Chinese teaching textbook.The author thinks most of these problems are avoidable through careful search anddetailed translation. In view of this, the author makes a systematic analysis of thetranslation in Chinese teaching textbook series of Chinese Course from one to three.Besides of this, this paper also makes classification of those problems, and gives areasonable explanation and modification, hopes that it could make some contributionsfor Chinese teaching and provides references for Chinese teaching textbook writers. |
