Discussion On Stone Knifes In Early Stage Of The Lower Reaches Of Yangtze River

The stone knife is an important implement of production in the NeolithicAge which widely distributed in various unearthed neolithic ruins. In recentyears, with the continuous development of countryside archaeology, all kindsof stone knives were constantly exposed along with a variety of newarchaeological discoveries, which provide a lot of material for our in-depthstudy to these artifacts today. The research on stone knives firstly appeared inthe1950s, but little study on the downstream areas of the Yangtze Riverknives from current research situation. This paper will statistical processing theearly collate statistics of Yangtze River stone knives mainly in Ningzhenregions and the Taihu Lake region. On the basis of previous studies, carriedout typology analysis on local Neolithic stone knives and differentiate its periodby Chronology. Then try to analyze its development, change, and differentcharacteristics in both studies; then differentiate the stone knives by regions,understand the relationship and influence between these districts and neighbor;Then by analyzing and observing the handle of the stone knives to explain thefunctions and the way of using of different stone knives. Finally attempt tostudy the role in the social at that time.
