This dissertation aims to study the writing of shamanism culture in the fiction of Inner Mongolia minority writers who write in Chinese, and how the writing of shamanism culture has a tremendous significance on the minority writers’creative work. This thesis contains five parts:The Introduction mainly deals with the significance and the current research on this subject. Chapter One explores shaman and shamanism culture, and summarizes the religion belief of each minority. Shamanism is a common religion belief of ethnic minorities, but there are differences between the diversity of area, it may have a different influence on the writers’ creative work. Chapter Two explores the shamanism culture sets a heavy cultural foundation for shamanism literature and the representative fictions of writers. Chapter Three mainly inquiries into the types and characteristics of the fiction which contains shamanism culture. Firstly, analyses the view of the gods in the novel with the different of period of shamanism; then discuss the embodiment of shamanism culture in the folk custom life, such as festival, hunter taboo, diet, life etiquette; finally, analyses the borrowing and using in the folk literature which absorbed the implication of shamanism culture. Chapter Four discusses the shamanism culture has influence on many aspects of the Inner Mongolia minority literature, including the selecting of subjects and describing typical literary images. The Epilogue summarizes the whole paper, the writing of shamanism culture has very important value and significance in the minority writers’creation, believes that the shamanism culture is the basic culture and spiritual resource in the creation of Inner Mongolia ethnic writers, it has a vital value and meaning to the structure of minority spirit belief and the revival of national culture.
