A Stone Bridge And A Village:Research Of "Life World" In Village

Based on the custom about stone bridge and village life, this study focuses on the dynamic local social change and the practice of village "life world", by categorizing and interpreting the relationship between stone bridge and plains village in Southern Shandong Province. It will provide detailed material of field custom for case study about custom of bridge and village in North China. Here the "life world" includes folk integration in daily life and also covers people’s cognitive attitude towards village.This thesis is divided into six sections. Introduction describes the background of this study and reviews previous studies. In addition, it briefly explains the methodology and related terms. Chapter one introduces the context of village. It briefly described from three aspects:village space (geography, location), village history and memory (construction the village of history, evolution) and village daily life scenes (year, holiday, etc.) in order to get integrative cognition of plains village in Southern Shandong Province. Chapter two introduces the relationship between stone bridge and villages through life "commoners" perspective. According to the longitudinal time context of bridge building, repairing and protecting and focusing on the legends and stories about people’s cognition of village stone it interprets stone bridge germinal carrier and symbolism. Chapter three with the method of case study, interprets how stone construct "life world" of Luqiao village through space structure, including village living, village belief and village ceremony. Chapter four analyzes specifically how the culture integrated into stone and "life world" constructed by stone and village re-constructed with change of the rural society. The conclusion section demonstrates the signification of studying the connection between stone and "life world" of village. Firstly, the perspective of folklore village "life world" is still promising. Secondly, folklore fieldwork is an important part to interpret the meaning of "life world" of village.Interpretation, perspective and reconstruction of "life world" of village show the meaning under the category of folklore, which needs to identify three characters related "life world" of village in traditional village folk system. Firstly, the "life world" points to daily life of village; secondly,"life world" of village points to village folk space overall present; thirdly,"life world" of village directly expresses the main body of open property of objects.
