Abstract:The article studies the phonetic system and characters of the dialect in Leshan, Ebian, Ganluo, Yuexi and Xichang, among them, the study of Yuxi dialect remains empty, there is on one investigate it before. There is no complete report of phonetic system on Ganluo dialect. The author has completely described the phonetic system for these two dialects after the on site investigation for the first time.The article utilizes the theory of linguistics and Chinese dialect, and uses the method of combining synchronic study with diachronic comparison, to study based on the investigation materials. The synchronic study compares the phonetic system character of those five dialects to visually reflect the characteristics of the phonetic system in every dialect. The diachronic study summarizes the general trend and clue of development of those five dialects with reference to Guang Yun when comparing the phonetic system characters.The article is composed of six parts:Part1is introduction, which introducing the current situation of the study of five dialects and explaining the resource of phonetic materials and the study methods. Part2introduces the survey, historical development and traffic condition of five counties and cities. Part3describes the phonetic system of the dialects in Yuxi and Ganluo. Part4compares the phonetic character of dialects in five areas to completely understand the character of dialects, summarize the rules and find the changes. Part5is the study of the phonetic similarity of dialects in those five areas, to clarify the relationship of those dialects. Part6is to analyze the reason that generating those five dialects from the point of normal linguistics and evolutionary linguistics.
