The birth and development of modern industry needs to many factorsinclude such as capital, market, raw materials, labor and so on. These factors have aconnection between each other. In this period of1859-1947, India is under the colonialrule of the British government, known as the British India. Because the two industrialrevolutions and propulsion, caused a revolutionary change in the world. India’s nationalindustry also appeared at the stimulation of Britain, but because of British colonial rulein India, India’s national industry were hindered inevitably in politics, capital and rawmaterials and so on various aspects factor by British.First in politics, the British India as an important raw material and the market, so theBritish wish that India did not develop the modern industry, resulting in the UK andIndia colonial government to India many times hinder the development of modernindustry, and even damage, and hit some existed modern industry of India by policy.Secondly, on the accumulation of capital, the UK output a large number of India’swealth each year, not as a capital to stimulate the development of Indian industry, madethe accumulation of India’s capital was limited. On the field of industrial capital, the UKbanking occupy the dominant position in India, so that been a strong resistance tofounded modern enterprise. And the British manage agency controlled a large numberof Indian capital enterprise’. and monopolized the trade of technical equipment, makesthe modern enterprises in the capital had been limit. On the aspects of raw materials,energy and transportation, also had a lot of the British capital. And they exported largenumbers of raw materials, output energy and the constructed railway,but there were allsorts of the unfavorable factors of Indian modern industrial development. On the fieldof labor, India’s colonial government long-term lack of enough attention on foodproblems, led to famine frequently occurred in India, a lot of unnecessary losses to Indiaon labor. At the same time, the British in India also has a large number of enterprises, these enterprises not only had a lot of labor, some enterprises also hampering the freeflow of labor. And British companies, working time, environment, and treatment ofworkers were very worse, this contributed to the loss of India’s labor force.
