The Study Of Teaching Foreign Students Arbitrary Reference Of Interrogative Pronouns

Abstract:The usages of the interrogative pronouns are various, which can mainly be divided into interrogative and non-interrogative one that includes arbitrary reference and virtual means. It is found that the arbitrary reference is often used in oral expression. However, foreign students have certain difficulties of both understanding and using them in their daily lives. Thus this research has certain theory significance and practical application value.By analyzing the interrogative pronouns arbitrary reference usages in modern Chinese corpus (http://www.cncorpus.org/login.aspx), the paper summed up several common usages sentence types of arbitrary reference. Furthermore, we utilized the inter-language corpus (http://202.112.195.192:8060/hsk/login.asp) to analyze the arbitrary reference usage of foreign students. Finally, we will provide some teaching suggestions, and carry out a corresponding teaching design for reference.
