As one of the most common emotional problems of college students, Socialanxiety,because of the impact of various factors which is defined as the performance ofthe negative emotions and negative experiences in a social context which has animportant impact on university student’s academic achievement,life,interpersonalcommunication or mental health.Existing studies have shown that there are wide factors which led to social anxietyof college students,these factors can be summarized into three categories includingphysiological,psychological and social environment.Research found negative life eventseasily lead to depression, anxiety and other emotional problems which has a significantcorrelation with social anxiety;Foreign scholars found resilience when they studied theinfluence of pressure and stress on children,which refers individual has a goodadaptation on stress and adversity.Negative life events is a prerequisite for resilience, inturn,resilience will affect the individual’s response to negative life events,there is asignificant correlation between negative life events and resilience;External negative lifeevents easily lead to social anxiety, inner resilience can be adjusted for individualnegative life events stress.So is there a significant correlation between resilience andsocial anxiety? Does resilience play an important role between negative life events andsocial anxiety?It is meaningful to further explore the internal mechanisms resilienceaffecting life events and social anxiety.In this study,we measured520college undergraduates of Sichuan NormalUniversity and Chengdu University of Information Technology through using "adultpsychological resilience Scale" by Yang Lizhuang translation and revision,"AdolescentLife Event Scale" by Liu Xianchen preparation,and"Interaction Anxiety Scale".Wereached the following conclusions through a series of studies: Firstly,College students life events, psychological resilience and social anxietyscores and the factor scores were significantly different on some demographicvariables.Specifically, college students life events score and the factor scores havesignificant differences in gender, grade and singleton variable; psychological resiliencescores and the factor scores of college students have significant differences in gender,grade, specialty, place of birth,family growth environment and whether student leaders;social anxiety scores and scores in each grade of college students have significantdifferences in grade, professional, student birthplace and whether student leaders.Secondly,there is significant correlation among life events, psychological resilienceand social anxiety of college students.college students life events are significantlynegative correlated with psychological resilience, psychological resilience aresignificantly negative correlated with social anxiety, life events are significantlypositively correlated with social anxiety. Life events can predict psychologicalresilience, social anxiety, psychological resilience can predict social anxiety.Thirdly, psychological resilience plays an intermediary role completely between lifeevents and social anxiety.Fourthly, life events impact social anxiety of the first grade, the second grade andthe fourth grade college students through intermediary of psychological resilience.
