The training of listening ability is an indispensable important part in teachingChinese as a second language; however, listening is just diiffculty in Chinese teaching.For a long time, listening course is still very hard to operate and handle in teachingChinese as a second language due to a variety of reasons. Furthermore,it also fails tocause enough attention in the area of Chinese teaching which leads the teaching effecthas been disappointing all the time. Therefore, this paper attempts to make apreliminary exploration and put forward some tentative solutions in listening courseof teaching Chinese as a second language. As a result, in view of the difficulties thatChinese as second language learners will face in the listening courses, this paper triesto provide some ways to overcome these barriers using the method of relevance theory,and work out a relatively reasonable classroom teaching model for a specific text. Themain body of this paper is divided into the following six parts:Through reviewing the development of listening course in teaching Chinese as asecond language, the first chapter introduces a series of problems that the currentlistening teaching faces, and summarizes relevant research situation at home andabroad from three aspects. The individual interview method is adopted in the secondchapter to understand the current situation of listening course in teaching Chinese as asecond language. As an important part of this paper, the third chapter ifrst introduces the relevant factors in the theory of discourse analysis, and then emphaticallyexpounds the research methods of discourse analysis theory—relevance theory, whichincludes the view of context, the view of reasoning, and so on. At last, this chapteralso describes the relationship between the relevance theory in discourse analysistheory and the listening course in teaching Chinese as a second language. Based onthe research analysis of the previous chapters, the fourth chapter attempts to find someteaching techniques for listening course in teaching Chinese as a second language.Combined with the previous research achievements, the next fifth chapter tires towork out a teaching plan to build a teaching mode rfom a speciifc text in onemiddle-level listening textbook. The last chapter is the conclusion part, whichsummarizes this paper.
