Objective: On the basis of previous studies, this research uses scientific experiments tofurther explore the intervention of exam insomnia by meta-cognitive therapy, to explore andverify the influence of the design and input of procedural knowledge for the intervention. Thisresearch provides a theoretical basis and clinical experience on psychological intervention forexam insomnia of the majority of students, and encourages other researchers to furtherexplore and research the design and input of procedural knowledge. Methods: On the basis of the control group pretest and posttest experimental design, anumber of symptoms of one subject were studied using multi-baseline experimental design. This research contrasts scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale before and afterintervention to measure the intervention is effective or ineffective, using the W-test to make adifferentiate test for the experimental group and the control group on each project of the sleepsubjective self-assessment form which made by author. This research uses emotionalsensitivity lever on sleep situational stimuli as an indicator of the multi-baseline experiments.Result: The scores of each subject on Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale weresignificantly decreased after treatment. The PSQI scores of experimental group subjects felleven more sharply and are all lower than inclusion criteria. The results of the W-test on eachproject in sleep subjective self-assessment form show that two group subjects have significantdifferences. Multi-baseline figures which are drawn according to results from the form ofemotional sensitivity lever on sleep situational stimuli show that emotional sensitivity lever ofthe experimental group subjects for specific situational stimulation of insomnia declinerapidly. Conclusion: After intervention each subject’s insomnia has been effectively improved, and the effects are well maintained after a month. The treatment effects of subjects inexperimental group are more significant. This shows that the meta-cognitive intervention canbe effective in treating exam insomnia and less recurrence. And the design and inputs ofprocedural knowledge can enhance the intervention.
