A Report On The Translation Of Globalization In The21^st Century

The translation report mainly includes two parts. The first part is the translationof the preface, the first two chapters of the Globalization in the21stCentury. Besides,the second part focuses on the analysis and summary of the whole process of thistranslation task.To be more specific, there are seven components in this translation report. Thefirst component presents the tasks of translation, in which a brief introduction of thesource, theme and content of the source text is introduced. The second is the summaryof the translation process, stating the preparation for the task as well as the process ofreading, touching up and confirming. While the third manifests the typical cases andexamples during the translation process as well as the corresponding translationmethods from the aspects of vocabulary and sentence. As for the fourth component,the summary of the whole translation practice is presented with a focus on mypersonal reflection. Besides, the source text and translation text appear in the fifthcomponent, and the bibliography is listed in the sixth. At last, the seventh states myacknowledgements.On the whole, this translation report aims at presenting statements andillustrations of the problems emerged during the course of reading, translating, editing,correcting and polishing, the relevant solutions to the problems as well as a summaryof this translation task, in the hope that those who will embark upon translation careermight draw on this.
