The article attempts to discuss the narrative techniques of moral theme of George Eliot’s novels from the narratology angle. The article contains four chapters respectively named narrative view, narrative space, narrative voice, rhetoric skill, from which analyze how the figures, plots, author comments reveal the moral theme of George Eliot’s novels. The article contrasts different techniques of expressing the similar theme, figures, rhetoric skill from George Eliot’s earlier and later writings. In this way, we can analyze her great and weak narrative techniques.The first chapter compares different description of Rosamund (Middlemarch) and Maggie Tulliver (The Mill on the Floss), through which discuss how the reclusive narrative authority of external description and author type narrative perspective show the characters of the novel moral values.The second chapter analyzes the symbolic, dramatic mental space of Adam Bede, Silas Marner, Middlemarch. It revels that religion, family affections, money, reputation can influence and corrupt human morality. George Eliot describes a state of mind which can be felt. In this way, she reveals the complex inner moral contest when people face difficulty and temptation.The third chapter analyzes the different attitude of Dorothea, Casaubon, Lydgate (Middlemarch) when their ideals of life disillusioned. Romola, Middlemarch, The Mill on the Floss reveals George Eliot’s immature narrative expression. Mrs Poyser’s image and the narrative tone of Middlemarch show George Eliot’s extraordinary humor, irony rhetoric ability.
