Analyze Melodies Of Georges Bizet

French composer Georges Bizet (Georges Bizet,1838-1875) is one of the most important composer of French classical music history. He created a total of49pieces of masterpiece. They include six folk songs (Chanson) and Serenade (1873) which was never published. Bizet’s masterpieces are considered some of the most beautiful melody that filled with imagination, strong ethical representation and bold at the time period they were created.My thesis will discuss and try to understand Bizet’s masterpiece under three different aspects:1) Concept of french art songs(Melodie),2) His life and its influence in his creation, the characteristics of his music and masterpiece,3) How to accurately represent and perform3of his renowned masterpieces. The three pieces I chose are "Adieux de l’hotesse arabe"," Chanson d’avril","Le Matin". I shall analyze and dissect each of the three pieces based on the melody, the rhythm, the musical form analysis, the tempo, the intensity and the lyric. Only analyzing these different integral parts shall allow me to express my point of view on how Bizet’s masterpiece were meant to perform.
