Janghan Plain Folk Songs And Folk Culture Research

Jianghan Plain Folk Song was burned and popular in the Middle Yangtze River, and central south part of Hubei Province. It cross Yangtze River and Han River, and locate in the boundary of Northern and Southern. It is also a treasure of Chinese folk songs. The folk song has a long history, rich variety of music, and has a unique style and strong regional characteristics.Folk culture is the custom in people’s daily life; it is a kind of important social cultural phenomenon. The emergence and development of folk cannot get away from the people’s daily life, so the folk culture must exist in folk songs. Folk songs is a manifestation of folk culture in Jianghan Plain, its custom activity is the concrete reflection of folk content in Jianghan Plain. Jianghan Plain Folk Song has a unique music style, a sharp regional characteristic. It has a positive connection with the folk culture.In this paper,212Jianghan Plain Folk Songs included in the "Chinese folk songs collection, Hubei volume"(hereinafter referred as "collection") as the research object. It analysizes the music form and folk culture of Jianghan Plain Folk Songs, so as to interpret the original folk song culture in Jianghan Plain. This thesis makes up of three chapters:the first chapter is introduction, mainly discusses the research background, data source and collection methods, research status, purpose and significance of research, research methods and ideas. The second chapter is a study of Jianghan Plain Folk Songs, to analyse the music forms of Jianghan Plain Folk Songs mainly from the generic characteristics, structure characteristics, tonality, rhythm and tone, added words and phrases. The third chapter is Jianghan Plain Folk Songs and folk culture. It is mainly analyzes the custom culture of Jianghan Plain Folk Songs from four aspects: productive labor, festivals, weddings and funerals and entertainments.
