Research On Character Variations About Piano Solo Music Of Romanticism

The development of variations has gone through a long derivation process from the Fixed Basis Variation,along with the development of instrument and performance skills, finally forming the unique character variations at Romanticism,this article is trying to analyzing the feature of character variation on the basis of piano by six piano solo variation composed by Beethoven,Schumann, Mendelssohn,Brahmas, Chaikovsky and Dvorak.The first chapter combed the development process of variation technique and piano solo variation. The second chapter elucidates the general layout of the whole variation,emotion development and tendency of part of variation,using the subject feature and application of variation skill as key point by six representatives. The third chapter based on the perspectives of history. Explore the feature of character variations firstly finding the legacy relation with baroque variation music in logical thought, emotion development type tendency fixed basis variation skill and the application of polyphony music. Secondly,putting character variations into the atmosphere of Romanticism music. Expounding the relationship with the Idee fixe,thematic transformation and Leitnotiv which is frequently used in the program music. Finally explore the relation of development of character variation with time variation on the background of Romanticism history.
