"New Criticism" Theory In The Use Of The New Period Of China

The study of the theory of the "The New Criticism" in the new period has been veryheavy and complicated, but about the theory of " The New Criticism " in criticismpractice research is relatively poor, in this paper, on the basis of summarizing thepredecessors’ research experience, since the new period, summary, comb, research andanalysis the mainland area0f the use of "The New Criticism" in poetry criticismpractice, the author respectively from the following several aspects to discuss.The first chapter, the paper expounds the "The New Criticism" research status quo ofcritical practice in China, namely the quantity is less and lack of systematic andcomprehensive, and the "The New Criticism" poetic criticism practice in mainlandChina and there are some shortcomings. Therefore, research on the use of "The NewCriticism" critical practice in China for the Chinese literary criticism’s meaning isself-evident.The second chapter, this paper discusses the "The New Criticism" used in the field ofclassical poetry. Respectively analyzing in the criticism practice area，Ye Jiaying, WangFuren，Sun Shaozhen’s advantages and characteristics. Ye Jiaying most critical practicein the new era, it compared with the critical practice of new period, have a uniquereference significance. Wang Furen, though its influence in using the method of "TheNew Criticism" close reading is bigger also, but there are still many deficiencies in thecriticism practice, the author also tries to summarize and analyze. And Sun Shaozhen ontext also to have done, he put forward the reduction method of contradictoryinterpretation, comparison analysis method, makes him become a flag bearer of the close reading.The third chapter, this paper discusses the "The New Criticism" in new poetry criticismin the field of application. Discusses Wang yi in the new poetry interpretation for theuse of "close reading", combing the modern context of poetics, from Zhu ziqing to SunYushi, Chen Zhongyi, they all have been modern poetics in the solution, which runsthrough " The New Criticism ", the use of the method of "The New Criticism" is one ofthe magic weapon of their criticism practice.The Fourth chapter, analysis the reason of the difficulties of " The New Criticism " inChina criticism, respectively from the environment and the researchers themselves andfrom the differences between Chinese and western language and culture, the severalaspects to discuss.The fifth chapter,"The New Criticism" and Chinese traditional literary criticism thereare mutual integration between its possibilities. In this process, there are still someproblems worth our further thinking. Such as: how to balance the external and internalcriticism, how to effectively combine semantics and traditional Chinese backgroundintent impression criticism, etc.
